私の住んでいる家は、古くて伝統的な作りです。
昔の人は小柄だったので、ちょうど良かったのでしょうが・・・
My house is Old traditional Japanese house.
Usually Old peaple is small, men is 150-160cm, Women is 140-150cm, It was just size.
背の高い人が遊びにくると、だいたいオデコをぶつけます。
When a tall person comes to my house, it hits the head here!
不思議なのは、ごくまれに、大柄な人が生まれることです。
Mysteriously, rarely, a big person is born.
昔の記録にも200cmを超える人がいたとあります。
Old record have a Over 200 cm people .
岩手には、鬼が住んでいたという伝説があります。
In Iwate, there is a legend that ogres lived.
鬼と人がともに暮らす約束に、手形を残した岩が今でも残っています。
To the promise that ogres and people live together, The rock have a hand stamp.
「岩」Iwa is rock
「手」Te is hand
岩手の名前の由来です
It is the origin of the name
非常に背が高かったそうです。

もしかしたら、関係あるかも？

今でも、毎年、この岩でお祭りが行われ、大切にされています。

盛岡の山車祭り Morioka “Dashi” Festival.
今日のテーマは、盛岡の山車祭りについて。

山車を豪華に飾り付けて

飾りつけのテーマは有名な物語

これは義経八艘飛び。

山車にはたくさんの人が乗ります

大太鼓が４、５人

小太鼓、子供達がたくさん
Small drum is lot of children.
それを数十人で引っ張ります
Pulled by dozens of people
それに、歌う人、鐘、拍子木がつきます
And singers, bells, chimp trees
各町内会ごとに、今年は８台。
This year 8 units For each neighborhood association

三石神社のさんさ踊り festival of Mitsuishi Shrine
三石神社のお祭りに行ってきました
I went to the festival of Mitsuishi Shrine
この神社には「岩手」の名前の由来になった、大きな岩があります。
There is a big stone iin this shrine which became the name of "Iwate".
The stones are called Mitsu-ishi. It means three big stones.
この岩に、鬼の手形がのこされています。
And has a hand stamp of a devil sign.
昔々、鬼と人が共に暮らす約束をした証だと言われています。
Once upon a time, it is said that a demon and a man promise to live together.
鬼は身近な存在です
A demon is a familiar existence
私もご先祖様が鬼だったと聞いています。
I have heard that my ancestor was a demon too.
大きな石の奥には神社があって
鬼のお面が祀られています
There is a shrine in the back of a big stone
The mask of the demon is enshrined
このお面をかぶると鬼になることができるそうです。
It is believed that if you put the devil mask on, you will get the devil's power and body.
くわっと開いた目、牙のはえた口、りっぱなツノ。

子供たちはおっかながりながら、このお面を見て遊んでいました。

町内会の人たちの手作りの屋台で、ビールお酒にに焼き鳥と焼きそばをいただきながら

お祭りシーズンの最初に、この石に安全を祈る踊りを納めて
At the beginning of the festive season, The dance to pray for safety on this stone
終わりに無事を感謝して奉納の踊りを収めます。
And Finally we thank for the safety and put dedication dance.
岩手では各地にたくさんのお祭りがあります。五穀豊穣や商売繁盛、健康で長生きすること、幸せであることを祈っています。
We usually pray for good harvest, prosperous business, good health and good luck.
とてもやわらかで美しい踊りでした。

大沢の虎退治 Osawa 's tiger festival.
今日は大沢の虎退治について語りました。
Today I talked about Osawa 's tiger festival.
岩手県沿岸の山田町、大沢。
Osawa district of Yamada town on the coast of Iwate Prefecture
ここに400年前、流れ着いた人がこの踊りを伝えたそうです。
which was a story happened 400 years ago.
In the dance it tells a story where in there was a distressed fisherman
who got drifted in the town and then he taught the Fisherman how to dance the Tiger dance.
トラに立ち向かうのは子供たち。
Children fight against tigers.
トラを演じるのは漁師のみなさま。
In the dance the children acts like they fought a Tiger
where in the fisherman acts like the tiger.
ひときわ大きなトラには和藤内と言われる勇者が立ち向かいます。
A brave fights against a big tiger
彼の名は和藤内といいます
His name is Watounai
暴れるトラを無事退治することができれば
If The children defeated the tiger
たくさんの魚がやってきて、大漁になるそうです。
A lot of fish came
to catch a lot of fishes in the sea!
and so that is the story about our festival which is the Tiger Festival.
今日はフィリピンのバギオという町の方とお話ししました。
寒そうにしていたので、気温をきいたら24度！
感じ方って人によってずいぶん違うんですね。
Today I talked with Baguio, the Philippines, and the town.
Because it seemed so cold, when I got the temperature, it was 24 degrees!
The feeling is quite different depending on the person.
二月にはフラワーフェスティバルがあって
とても楽しいのだそうです。
いつかいってみたいなぁ^^

わんこそばについて WankoSoba!
今日はわんこそばについて語りました。
Today I talked about Wankowoo.
わんこそばとは・・・
小さなおわんにおそばを盛って
何杯食べるか競うものです。
What is Wankosoba ...
It competes how many cups to eat.
私は108杯の記録をもってます。
一緒の席の方と競争して、その人は200杯食べました。
I have a record of 108 cups.
In competition with the seat of the same person, that person ate 200 cups.
その時はお腹から背中まで全部おそばでマンタンで
おそばの袋になった気分がしました
At that time, from the stomach to the back full of the Wankosoba
I felt like I got only sack of Wankosoba
女性は60から80くらいが普通のようです。
男性は100杯食べるといい感じ。
Women about 60 to 80 as normal.
Men is 100 cups.
盛岡ではお祝い事や何かにチャレンジしたい気分の時に
友達や家族と連れ立ってわんこそばを食べに行きます。
In Morioka when celebrating or something you want to challenge
with friends or family to eat Wankosoba!

一緒についてくるお総菜や薬味がおいしいことです
これを食べると・・・いい記録がでません。
でもつい食べてしまいますね^^;

このお店のノートには400杯食べたという記録がありました。
なんと女子高生でした！

お化け屋敷について haunted house
今日はお化け屋敷について解説してみました
Today I tried to explain the haunted house
日本では夏、ご先祖様があの世から帰って来て
いっしょに過ごす日があります。

We are play,eathing,enjoy together.
そして、幽霊の話をするのが大好きです
And, We love to talk about ghosts
こちらはお化け屋敷。
This is a haunted house.
この中は真っ暗になっていて勇気をためされるのです。

中には様々な仕掛けや、お化けのコスプレをした人が
入ってきた人を脅かします
Inside there are various gimmicks and people who made ghost cosplay
I threaten the person who came in
怖い思いをして楽しむのです。
I am afraid to have fun.
こちらはろくろっ首
自由に伸びる長い首を持っています。

今住んでいる家は、築135年の古民家です。
とても気に入っています

この街には、お城があったのですが
150年前に革命があって（明治維新）壊されてしまいました。

140年前、大火事がありあたり一帯が焼けてしまいました
そのあと一斉に復興したので
築100年くらいの家がたくさんあります

今日は、セルビアの方とお話ししました。
セルビアでは1992年、戦争があったので

建物は古くても30年くらいなのだそうです。

盛岡のお盆 a memory from summer
今日はお盆について話しました。
まず、さんさ踊りを奉納します。
この人はいたちを持って踊っています。
私もまだなぜいたちを持っているのかわかりません。
This is Obon-dance.Named “Sansa”
He have a ITACHI.
ITACHI like a long mouse.
いたちの写真を見せたら
ずいぶん長いネズミだねということでして（笑）
こちらはお盆の迎え火です。
家の前で火を炊いて、先祖様をお迎えします。
この日を目印にして帰ってくるのです。
This is “Mukae-bi”
They return home with a flame as a marker.
ご先祖様とは、三日間一緒に過ごします。
ご飯を食べたり、遊びにいったり、一緒に夏を楽しみます。
We spend three days with my ancestors.
We eat rice, go to play, we enjoy summer together.
怖いんじゃないか、
悪い魂が帰ってくるんじゃないか。
スプーンやはしが勝手に動いたりするんじゃないか
なんて聞かれました^^;
I was asked

I am not afraid because it is a close person
盛岡は東京から500Km北にあります。
遠いように思いますが、
新幹線ならたったの２時間。お高いですが、とっても快適！
Morioka is 500 km north of Tokyo.
I think that it is far away,
Only 2 hours on Shinkansen.
It is expensive as 150 dollars, but very comfortable!
おすすめはバスです
夜出発してぐっすり眠って朝つきます。
お値段なんと3,000円〜
The bus is the best.
Depart from the night and sleep soundly in the morning.
Price 3,000 yen ~
これなら気軽に行ったり来たりできます。
This way you can come and go easily.
問題はぐっする眠れるかということ。
何事もなければ、ぐっすり眠れるのですが
渋滞していたり荒い運転士だったり、天気が悪かったりすると
よく眠れなくて朝からつらい時もあります
I can sleep well.
But…
If there is nothing wrong, I can sleep soundly
If you are a traffic jam or a rough driver, or the weather is bad
Sleeping well I have sometimes hard time from the morning
