Love is like water
If we grab it, it will fall
The only thing we can do
We can just gently scoop it up.
Saving it carefully in our palms
Water trickles down eventually
But it itself is always surrounding us
愛は水のような物
握りしめようとするとあふれ落ちる
僕らに出来るのは
ただそっと手ですくい
手のひらに優しく溜め込むだけ
やがて水はこぼれ落ちるけど
水じたいはいつでもどこでも
形を変えて存在する

喧騒と静寂が心を駆け抜けて行く

On the way home
Noise and silence are running though my mind
A lot of things happened today as well
There are many miles still to go. for the road hasn't ended yet.
Sometimes I make mistakes, I'm running our energy, I still have enough to carry on.
For whom are the flowers blooming ?
Is a flower blooming for itself?
For whom does it bloom? Is it for themselves or for someone else?
Nonetheless we appreciate its beauty and enjoy its wonderful fragrance
As I went home the memory stayed with me

I don't know what to do
Living with fear and annxiety
I want to be calm
I want to be stable
A ship without distination is wandering in the storm

Happiness
I still do not know what my happiness is exactly; therefore, in this short essay, I will consider what my happiness is shortly.
Some people believe that having money, fame, and power can make us happy. However, some people do not seem to be happy even after having them. WHY? Probably, additional things which they got might make them worry and insecure because it might cause another complicated problem or to cause a fear to lose them.
In the end, even if I get money, fame and power, if I cannot get a stable mind, I would not be happy. Thus, my happiness is to have a stable secure mind with a little amount of money that would give me the means to live.
Meeting with American relatives 2
In the previous essay, I wrote about the meeting with my American relatives when I was a small kid. For example, where they were living, what languages they were speaking, my decision to learn English in the future and what I learned from the experience. In this essay, I am going to describe our reunion.
After they moved from here to Okinawa, I couldn’t meet them because Okinawa is far away from here. They returned to the US in the end. We received some letters from Texas. Then, later they moved to California.
They returned to Japan after a long time had passed. We both grew up together. I started learning English, so we mainly talked in English because most of them forgot Japanese except their mother whose mother tongue was Japanese. The sisters explained that they were leaning Japanese in Sunday school but it was not enough to keep their bilingual skills.
They still remember some easy Japanese but it was not enough to communicate. Their mother was talking in Japanese but she sometimes talked in English without notice, especially the first few days after she came back.
We chatted and had dinner together. I asked their mother about her impression of the current life in Japan. She answered how the people’s height has become taller than ever. One of the sisters who met their grandma said that she told her that she cannot speak Japanese anymore. It was a bit sad to me.
The family influenced a lot about my decision to study English. Also, I learned that being a bilingual person is difficult. Language and distance are a problem when it comes to international marriage. However, that is how people spread throughout the world originally.
