SODABLUE

note sur la photographie

Traveling after a long time is Yufuin

It's been a long time since we've had a proper trip this time, not a so-called outing.

At first, Tokyo was my first choice because it's a very important place for us, but we haven't had many opportunities to go there.

Going to Tokyo is more like a trip back home than a trip, so I didn't feel like going all the way.

When I think about our future life, I can't go out easily,I suggested to my husband that we go to Tokyo.

However, as a result, I decided to travel to a hot spring resort, and after thinking about various candidate sites, I chose Yufuin.

We walked from the parking lot to a nearby soba restaurant and We had lunch.

Walking around the lake, soaking in hot springs, eating cold soft serve ice cream in the downtown area, it was a fun time full of sightseeing.

We made a mistake on the expressway course and made a detour, but We arrived at Yufuin safely after a long absence.

My husband remembered well the parking lot he used many years ago. I had forgotten so much that I became envious of my husband's good memory.

It was a very hot day, so my husband got tired and decided to check in earlier than planned.

Before going to the inn, I went to a cafe with memories.
We had lived in the town next to Yufuin for many years, so I felt strange mix of nostalgia and freshness.

The guest rooms at the inn are each in an independent building, so it was comfortable without hesitation.

Dinner was a beautiful and delicious kaiseki meal that used plenty of Oita prefecture's specialties.

When I was in the open-air bath, I saw a shooting star. I asked a shooting star to heal my husband's illness.

The next morning, fog covered the town, so I decided to wait for the hotel gates to open before going out to take pictures.

The day before, I decided where to take pictures in advance, so I went there.

The lake is known for its beautiful scenery covered in fog, but the scenery in the morning was cloudy and a little dull.

I didn't know if I should go back to the position I had decided on for the shoot, or if it would be better not to go back.

However, I hurried back, thinking that if I didn't shoot from a position where the fog covered the town and I could see the mountains, I would miss a great opportunity.

I was finally able to capture a beautiful landscape with light and fog.

The fog thinned as the sun rose higher.

The remnants of the harvested rice were glittering in the morning sun.

It was a beautiful landscape that I never got tired of looking at.

I have to come back hotel in time for breakfast.

It was an unforgettable time.
I was happy to be surrounded by the gentle morning light.

As I was walking, looking forward hot springs and a delicious breakfast, I noticed cosmos blooming on the side of the road.
I put Yuhudake in the background of the cosmos flowers to create a soft mood.

We drove home via Beppu.

Since the weather was nice, I decided to take the Tsurumidake Ropeway and go to the top of Mt. Tsurumidake.

When I lived in Beppu, I had never been there. At that time, I didn't have a hobby of cameras, so I guess I wasn't interested.

Thinking about it now, it was a too good to waste.

However, after some time, we were able to come to this city again.

After my husband's treatment and recuperation, we are sure to encounter many unexpected things.

I hope that the memories of this trip will become the energy to overcome the hardships.

We never stop traveling and taking pictures.

A time machine called a photograph continues to leave many memories of time.

For me, it's important to keep shooting.
