During today's lunch with Mr.F, I chatted with him and heard a lot of interesting experience of him. The first topic was something about management of a software project. Questions include something like should we be optimistic or pessimistic? Who should be optimistic? when is the time you should be pessimistic? That discussion was really fun. Both of us referred to some former experience so that we could know a little inside of the other company. He is around 55 years old and so experienced researcher. I'm always have something to learn from him.

The second interesting thing was about how to organize your thought for some presentation, letters, papers or whatever. His way of thinking was really impressing. He said when he consider something, he writes everything he thought with exactly the same word in his mind. He keeps the notebook and never throws it away. He says your thought is getting organized as you go. When we got back to our office, He showed me his schetchbook which is interesting.

I'm thinking of doing that and I really hope my thought organization skill would get better.

Today my wife started her school. That was great. I was a little worried about her because she has to go there by herself using public transportation while she only speaks little English. Before today she'd run over there for rehearsing so she had no trouble or difficulty today. I hope she will have a lot of fun and learn a lot so she get a license.
As for me, I met S to have some chat as always. Monday is a day for that conversation. I owe her a lot for my English speaking. I can ask her about what I cannot understand and she can teach me about American culture.
That is really fun and helpful.

G.Love & Special Sauce in concert

My wife and I went to the Saratoga Mountain winery to see concert of G.love & Special Sauce.
That was really fun. The place was really nice, low-key and calm which is on top of the mountain so we were able to enjoy entire view of the Bay Area. We brought some food and had a picnic. As show went along, the sky turned dark so we enjoyed beautiful night view. I wish to go there again.

a trip to the Shabway

I just got back from a little trip to the Shabway restaurant which has Japanese Shabu Shabu whose name of the restaurant is obviously a pun for the Subway, Sandwich chain.
There were a lot of non-Japanese people there, it looked like we were the only Japanese guest there while all the clerk looked like pure Japanese. They reminded us of Japan a lot in a way of quick service, greeting, as well as Japanese language they spoke.
I ordered regular beef Shabu-Shabu tray (I don't remember what it was called.) that cost $7.99 including a bowl of rice and some veggies and some udon noodle.

resurrection

I've come to restart this journal today.
I hope this would help me improve English skills especially
in speaking and keep track of my daily activity here in U.S.
And also wish it would be like a vocabulary notebook.
This time, I declare to continue everyday! but i'm not sure
how long it lasts.
Let's see and take it easy.
