・1文章で2箇所入れ替える問題が増えて、急激に難しくなった印象。
・抽象的な単語、馴染みの薄い単語が増えて、理解するのが遅くなった。
・if, that, while等、2節を繋げて1文にしてある文章が多くなり、文章自体が長くなった。
・できればLesson L自体をもう一度履修したい。
EXERCISE L11.3
Intermediate Multiple-slot Substitution Drill
1. One should qualify to buy some shares to have ownership in this company.
Change: you, must.
2. You must qualify to buy some shares to have ownership in this company.
Change: own, access.
3. You must qualify to own some shares to have access in this company.
Change: stocks, business.
4. You must qualify to own some stocks to have access in this business.
Change: arrange, authority.
5. You must arrange to own some stocks to have authority in this business.
Change: I, increase.
この問題、2回目も難しかった。意味を即座に理解するのが難しく、意味が理解できないと正しく単語を入れ替えることができない。要練習。

9. She would prefer to be in debt rather than die hungry.
これも一度で意味の理解が難しかった文章。
「彼女は飢えて死ぬより、借金がある方がいいと思っている。」
（意味は大体の意訳。）
”die hungry” は調べても出て来なかったけど、「die of hunger」, 「die from hunger」という表現はよく使うみたい。

REMS Section 3, Lesson I 難しかったところ まとめ
先日よりLesson I に突入。
文章がより長くなり、構造も難しくなった印象。
一回でリピートできることが少なくなったかも。
文法もhowever と although/ thoughの違い等、かなり細かく理解していないと答えられない問題も出て来ました。I16のこの部分かなり難しかった。

油断するとすぐにWhatの質問が作れなくなってしまう。doに変換するのが難しい。

【QQ English】REMS Method Lesson H 難しかった箇所一覧
◆2022年1月31日からレッスンHに入りました。
・Lesson H =Total 21パート（G1-G16 ＋ Revision1-5）
・これまで通り3パート終了毎に1Revisionが挟まれる形で進む。
G1, G2, G3, GR1, G4, G5, G6, GR2, G7, G8, G9, GR3 ...
◆レッスンHで気付いたこと
・レッスンGまでは1パート終了に1コマ25分程度で進んでいたが、レッスンHからは2コマずつ掛かるようになった。
・知らない単語、又は、知っていても使い慣れていない単語が多く出て来る。
→簡単な構造の文章でも、自分の知らない単語が含まれると、途端に言えなくなる。意味を理解していることは、聞き取りだけでなく、文章を組み立てる上でも大切だと気付いた。
・先生の言った文章をリピートはできるが、意味が瞬時に理解できないことが出てきた。
意味を意識しないシャドーイングは言語習得には繋がらない
これをすごく実感しているので、常に意味を考えながらリピートするように意識している。

9. What’s another meaning of paint?
Another meaning of paint is … to make a picture and put color on it.
この部分言えなかったのと、先生のリピートするのも難しかった。
英語で言葉の定義をするのがハードル高い。
10. Give me an example please.
Leonardo da Vinci painted … the Mona Lisa.
先生が言う「レオナルドダヴィンチ」が聞き取れなくて、「モナ・リザ」と言われて初めて分かった笑笑

この2つの文、リテンションできなくて何回も先生に聞いた。要練習。
” ”のカッコで括られている部分が聞いただけでは理解するのが難しかった。

誤植を見つけたので、事務局に訂正を依頼した。（2022年2月8日）
いつ返信があるか分からないが、念のため記録。

斜体部分、全て誤回答。ひとつ前のドリルの答えがそのまま載っている。
EXERCISE H11.P2
1. word vs. world
この2つが同じに聞こえると言われた。ワードはOK。ワールドのLを発音するのが難しい。ゆっくりなら発音できるが、2つの言葉を連続で言ったり、文章の中に紛れていると発音が不安定になる。要練習。

今までは過去のドリルの中で出てきた文章の並べ替えだったので、答えを既に知っている状態だったけど、今回は違った。答えとなる文章が、今回初めて出てくる文章で、それを紙とペンを使わずに回答するのはすごく難しかった。要復習。

元の文章ではthatを使っているけど、wh疑問文ではthatは使わないということでした。
なんでだろ？ここ要確認。

この次のレッスンで別の先生に質問したところ、どちらも正解とのことでした。
When is she very certain to go to London?
When is she very certain that she will go to London?
REMS自体はいい教材だと思うけど、先生の文法レベルによっては正解の回答をしてもそれは間違いだと教えられる可能性があり、この点は気を付けないといけないと思う。
これは、先生側の文法知識の問題でもあるけど、先生側のテキストに回答が１つしか載っていないことも問題だと思う。REMSのテキストは誤植もちらほらあり、何度か事務局に連絡を入れているが、回答をもらったことはない。この辺の対応はちょっと残念に思う。
REMSのドリルを解いていると、正解が複数ある問題が出題されることもかなりあり、この時の対応によって、先生の文法力や解説の上手さ等が垣間見えて面白い。

意味を考えて疑問文を作るよう注意。
